A dark poem full of imagery. |
Night Never Fades Only he knows my thoughts untold, vain as Narcissus my heart is cold. Streams of hate flowing in wretched veins, alone and bitter is how my heart remains. Love beautiful and bright I have known. Each breath consuming, dark hate is now what I own. I am lost to all, unchaste with no pride. Sinful beauty I have become the fallen's bride. Blazing fires scorch to my core. Fire rekindled, I burn and they want more. I have lived a life less than pure- Infamous, the glorified whore. Death and greed feed the beast, under flesh and bone the soul becomes a feast. Ripened untouched innocence we crave Together, not even all God's angels can save One broken shell we all will fall, lifeless sheep they back us against the wall Abandoned and chained to an infinite misery Giving in, I let this evil deed take over me Struggling is futile, there is no escaping fate. Only the pure are promised passage to the gate Night never fades for the Evil Queen. Because of my sin, I corrupt all- nothing is clean. All life is spent I gain only comfort in lust, selfish reality, there are none that I trust. Never sleeping with him I breathe the fire, effortless are those with whom I will conspire. My last errant act, it will inevitably kill. The sacred now scorn, hate is all that we feel. |
