I'm a woman who knows
that with roots, sticks, and bones
I am mapping a pathway to Eden.
When I get there I know
all the gods will be so close
with I sigh I can have them draw near.

I draw veves on my wall,
the orishas to call
and all of my spells have two meanings.
In the deep wilderness
there's a rare bird that sings
of the thoughts shapeshifting my future.

In my dreams I have seen
wild powers coursing through me
and I know that my mojo is working.

you choose the path you are running on.
