I'm losing a friend
I am nearing the end
And I did not think
I would be hurting this bad

I knew I would lose you
I somehow could see
That in your agenda
Were plans to leave me

I just tried to ignore it
And I tried to pretend
That though we were dying
We just would not end

But maybe this is for better
Perhaps it could have been worse

And life has no reverse
