A poem of a storm and the stages it commonly undergoes.
Distant, distant, coming storm,
I admire your look forlorn,
Make more joy than you do mourn,
Distant, distant, coming storm.

Dark clouds, dark clouds, blackened mist,
My gaze falls into your rifts,
Vague and hidden, raindrops sift,
Dark clouds, dark clouds, blackened mist.

Thunder, thunder, rolling in,
My mind wonders, my thoughts spin,
What secrets held deep within,
Thunder, thunder rolling in.

Come now, come now, waters fall,
Bring about your gentle squall,
Please make light your noisy brawl,
Come now, come now, waters fall.

Raindrops, raindrops, falling down,
Drop your misty water gown,
Shower dry and barren ground,
Raindrops, raindrops, falling down.

Blow now, blow now, heavy gales,
As rain now drops and impales,
Your soothing howl never fails,
Blow now, blow now, heavy gales.

Lightning, lightning, in the skies,
White and flashing, piercing eyes,
Listen to your cracking cries,
Lightning, lightning in the skies.

Farewell, farewell, storm clouds off,
Hiding now your twisted scoff,
All is left a far-off cough,
Farewell, farewell, storm clouds off.
