Drowning in Pain

the storm that rages in our world

Pouring down in a sheet so heavy,
Stronger than any dam or levy.
Relentless flood of raw emotion,
Bigger than the largest ocean.
Tireless and abandoned, we are swept away,
Written off as the menial. Labeled urban decay.
Down the rain comes down with despair.
It seems there’s no hope and life seems unfair.
The sky has sprung a leak not to be fixed,
Our so called leaders are too busy in a twist.
So here we stay, drowning slowly in the midst.
