Do you think that I’m naïve
Do you think I don’t care
It’s not that you’re together
It’s the secret that you wouldn’t share
We’re supposed to be best friends
With nothing at all to hide
Maybe I thought too much of you
Because here we are and I guess we’re through

I gave you too many chances
Thinking you’d do what was right
I hoped you’d learn your lesson
For every night I cried
I wished you take our friendship
Before anything else
But I was wrong

This is what you wanted
And so you got your way
Maybe it doesn’t matter to you
If I was the one that paid

You had better be happy
After all is said and done
You better thank God that this battle you’ve won
I wouldn’t have done it this way
That much is for sure
But this is your life and I’m not in it any more
