Legacy of Darfur

The conflict is complicated, Where do i begin?
They say diamonds are a girl's best friend
but in some places, they've been
apart of the world's end

mines built with the bones
of tribes fleeing their homes
forced to live lives in war zones
with the quest to find these lustrous stones

well, we can choose to not get involved
while villages get raided and houses get bombed

and rescue efforts botched
as we sit and we watch
or turn our sets off
while darfur rots
