This is the first thing I wrote about my Dad after he died. He died when I nearly 13
Here's To You Dad:

Left in a world of silence
Alienated by those you love.
Hurt by intimacy
It’s something I must let go of.

Never ceases to amaze me;
My eyes they’re burning still.
Holding all these feelings in
Is killing me like it killed him.

The memories still haunt me
I guess they’ll never leave
Six months of endless torture
At least now you’re at peace.

Tears may shatter,
Blood may fall.
Scars reopen
Your name I call

In destruction
There is calm
Eternal beauty
You did nothing wrong.

I’ll never forget you
Here’s something I will do:
For every time by eyes are burning
I will shed a tear for you
