Peace through Faith

It was a long time Lord,
That Peace and Joy I sought.
I want to thank you, because
in faith, that is what you brought.

Your book is full of so much meaning,
and in my heart your word is screaming.

Guided by faith,
Through the darkness I raced.
I was overcome with grace -
Caught up in your glorious embrace.

I was broken and down trodden,
But comfort, in you I found.
I was lost and so confused -
but now in me, thy words resound.

Filled with comfort and knowing,
Through me, your words were flowing.
My heart sang as my feet ran,
I reached out for your eternal hand.

Here I was,
standing beaten and abused.
In sin, I stood accused.
But there you were,
standing right beside me.
And through your glory,
felt your spirit rush through me.

So here I am oh lord,
My amazing King of Kings.
My life is yours to mold:
In you, I can do all things.

For the pain I had to go through,
I will never be sorry.
Always in your name,
I will cry out:
Holy, Holy, Holy
