Desciptions of my best friend who is, and always be, my best friend |
I was asked to describe my best friend from five years ago to now. So much to say...just don't know where to start. I'll just start and begin like this... Five years ago, was 2001...my best friend, Bryce had big, bright, curious baby blue eyes. He always had a smile on his face and he didn't let anyone put him down. He stood for what he believed in, no matter what anyone said. He had dreams of becoming a video programmer and to help build a play center for street kids. His short, blonde hair was always spiked straight up. Always wanting a change, he always had to be different from everyone else. He was unique. He would play soccer with his little brother and he would play hide-and-seek with his little sister. Even though, he is years apart from his siblings, he still played with them and showed them that he cared about them. He loved to volunteer at centers. He loved to help people, free of charge. People would describe him as loving, sharing and as some of the little kids would say, just totally awesome. He was always caring and looking out for everyone else. He didn't want people to judge him or his friends, but he was the last person to care what other people had to say. He loved his brother and sister more than life. He loved light colors. He wanted to change the world. He missed his father who is locked up for a rape that he didn't commit. He was always full of energy. He always had to try new things. He always wanted to show everyone how much he cared. He reached out to strangers. He loved going to fairs and riding all the crazy rides. He loved all his friends and he planned to finish school and go on to college. Now, is 2006...my best friend, Bryce has baby blue eyes that will forever stay closed. His blonde hair, spiked forever. His smile, gone and nothing can be done. His baby blue hooded sweatshirt and his black jeans is the only outfit that he will wear anymore. His friends', siblings', and his father's hearts are broken for life. No more will his brother play soccer and no more will his sister play hide-and-seek. Forever, he will be judged, and forever, he can no longer stand up for what he believes in. He will not finish high school and he will not get the change to go to college to become a video programmer. He will not get a chance to make a play center for street kids. No longer will he volunteer at centers. Now, he lays rotten in a silver casket, six-feet under in the could ground. He is no longer described as loving and taking everyone in place first. My best friend, Bryce, lost his life in 2002. Bryce was fifteen years old; three days shy of his sixteenth birthday when he took his life. He was in juvenile hall for an unnecessary reason and he just couldn't handle it anymore. He tied his bed sheet around his neck and tried it to his celled window and jumped for his life. He isn't here anymore, but he is deep inside of everyone, who knew him, except for his mother. His mother was the one who sent him to juvenile hall, for no reason what-so-ever, just because he was going to testify against his mother for his father's freedom. Bryce took his own life, when he was the one who stopped others from doing such a thing and helped everyone with their problems. Bryce isn't here anymore. Even though he lost his life in the worst way...he still taught everyone a very important lesson. That is, "Don't let people tell you what you are, be who you are because you want to be that person."
