A child in a giant's world wants to be treated "fair". |
Poem1: Your Precious Years (Relationship, Parenting, Childrens) A child in a giant's world wanted to be treated "fair". Send me my share. It's only fair, a little one cries. You don't know why tears stream his eyes, I'm telling no lies. Why do I fear you, when I have to come near you? A small boy faces a giant who could not fight it. A tear rolling down from heaven lands, I love you son, and I need your love. I need your patience until my life is done. The boy is young. He can't grasp words, as his father continued to repeat himself. Little boys don't need your crying tears. What they need is your precious years. If you thought of this little guy, you wouldn't say wait until I die. He's got big blue eyes and a shining smile. Stop and care for him just a little while. You can relive a life you once endured, share his loves, sorrows and happiness to come. When the final moment approaches, your son is at your side holding your hand. Then, you realize what your patience has done. You spent your precious years with your son. The boy is young. He can't grasp the words. He doesn't need your crying tears, just give him your precious years. Stop and care for just a little while. When I look at you, I think back to my youth. How I cried, how I lied. People thought bad of me, and only now it is clear to see. You're following in my footsteps, placing each foot in the same one, the wrong one, and failure comes along. You can't hide from the crowd. You lie, but you're still proud. You're as stubborn as me. The reflection's getting clearer. A face closing in, getting nearer. Don't you know there's nothing to fear? How I cried, how I lied. People think bad of you too. I know what you're going through. You're following in my footsteps, placing each foot in the same one, the wrong one, and failure comes along. Remember when the times were so, we didn't have to try, didn't have to know that life wouldn't be easy for a little one's soul. Remember when we always ran away only to find that we were bound to stay, 'cause we couldn't hide, but could always confide with Mother, who would always hold us to her side? She said loving someone new wouldn't come easy. Loving is a family like you and me kid, and someday I would grow up and move away to find another family from which I couldn't run away from either.
