Time to rest

I've been working hard for so long
Trying to do my very best;
It’s not easy, but I remain strong
Soon it will be time for me to rest.

On my journey I’ve met people, and made some friends
Things weren’t easy for me I must confess;
The road I traveled seem to have no ends
It’s getting dark so now I must stop and rest.

As I lay by the fire, and wait for night to pass
I close my eyes to endure natures’ test;
Realizing that troubles don’t always last
For now it’s time to rest.

Now that I’ve reached the end of my rainbow
It was hard, but fun with a little stress;
So don t you all worry I want you to know
That I made it, but for now I must rest.
