My first poem EVER! (first draft by the way)
Lost souls whispering their goodbyes
Their sorrys
Their cries
Lost souls pleading for forgiveness
For not caring
For not wanting
For not sharing
Give us another chance they plead
For we are sorry and willing to bleed
All of us have done wrong
But yet all of us belong
And so we lost souls are here before you
Please hear our cries
And try not to shun our sighs
They are of thanks and gratitude
Not of bad attitude

Give us another chance we plead
For we are sorry and willing to bleed
To redeem ourselves would be a pleasure
But to find our place would be even better
Hear our losses and hear our gains
Hear our wonder and hear our pains
For we have seen the other side as every man will
Only we went there because of an unwise decision to kill

Give me another chance I plead
For I am sorry and willing to bleed
I have done wrong
This I know
I have had my highs
And I have had my lows
But this is rock bottom
There is no place to go
So I beg for your approval
To return to my world
Where I will happily be hurled and whirled
From place to place
From face to face
Do what you want with me
For I am your servant
Ready to please at your whim
Ready to repay my sin

Give me another chance you plead
For I am sorry and willing to bleed
There is black
And there is white
But also shades of gray
There is wrong
And there is right
But we’ll always look away
So as you sit in front of him or her or they
Begging and pleading for them to let you stay
Remember the days
When you were a child at play
With no cares
And no fears
No worries
And no tears
With the wind whispering in your ear
Did you listen or fall away?
Did you notice or continue to play?
Did you hear what the wind had to say?
The message it was trying to convey?

Here’s your opportunity
Mind and body join in unity
None but a second left
You accept your fate
But only with bitterness and hate
A cruel, brutal wind blows by
And stings your eyes
As it screams in your ear
Loud and clear
What it was trying to portray
“LOST SOULS NEVER GET THEIR WAY”
