Please come home Meg. We miss you. Yeah Right!
To my Dear sister Meg
Hello Meg, long time no see, and  before you get upset, NO, I am NOT having a go at you about your glasses! I know you used to get upset when we teased you about wearing glasses, but honestly, we didn't mean any harm.
Do you remember that little rhyme we used to sing?

Ugly girls with big fat arses
Look even worse when wearing glasses
Mum was such a gifted poet, wasn't she?

I am writing to you because we want you to come home. Ten years is a long time Meg, and that's how long it is since you ran away. It's very important to us that you know how sad we are without you. And we don't care about you being fat. Honestly, it hardly matters at all.
They say that with age comes wisdom, and now that we are older we have come to understand  that it's not your fault that you are a great big fatso with four eyes.

Now I know that you probably still hold a grudge against me for stealing the one  true love of  your life, but really Meg, It was all for the best.  I don't have to tell you how particular Bob is about 'his women,' and as you know he has always been a bit of a, 'leg man,'  so you can see that things could never have worked out for the two of you. Not with you having to clop around in that silly bloody leg brace!
Oh that reminds me of another little rhyme we used to sing.

Who's that stumbling down the hall, making all that racket?
Oh it's just Meg, on her peg leg, hope she doesn't stack it!
Oh that was a funny one, wasn't it?

You probably aren't aware of this, but our clever Mum is famous now. Yes, she finally found a place to showcase her wonderful writing skills on Writer Dot Com.
She's terribly busy these days, always on the computer, writing, reading, reviewing, and counting her lucky stars.

I never told you this Meg, but I used to get so jealous when Mum made up all those funny little rhymes for you. She only ever made one up for me and I didn't like it at all, even if it was true. I still remember it.

The prettiest girl in the world, our beautiful Maree
Our dearest darling daughter, oh how we do love thee
You brighten up our days, we are so happy that we got
Such a pretty daughter, unlike your sister, who is not!

I always wished that I could be you Meg. I know I was the pretty one with all the talent but I wanted to be the funny one. It's always the awkward ones that get all the laughs. Remember how we used to laugh at your funny little lisp? That on it's own was funny enough, but when you got those great big braces installed on your great big teeth, well then you were even funnier!
Remember when Dad would come home drunk sometimes and chase you around the house singing that little song? You used to look so cute, hobbling as fast as you could, and pretending to be hysterical. You must remember it.

Look at big fat Meg, in her big fat dreth
Brathes on her teeth, hair all in a meth
Don't she look tho thweet, with her little dimples
Yeth she ith tho lovely, thame about the pimples!

Oh God we used to have some fun. Didn't we Meg?

Before I go, Mum has asked me to pass on this lovely poem that she has written especially for you.  She also asked if you could rate and review it for her.  She said it doesn't matter if you have no gift points, just some cash in an envelope will do.
Goodbye for now Darling Meg. Hope you enjoy your poem. I think it is one of Mums better ones.

                                      A  Poem for Meg

Dad was only playing when he threw you in the water
He didn't know you couldn't swim, dear ordinary daughter

Your sister didn't mean to steal, the boy you wished to wed
It's not her fault that he preferred a pretty face instead

I wish you would forgive us for our crimes and grant a pardon
For things like hanging your undies, on the flag pole in the garden

About that big black snake, you found hiding in your bed
Your brother is very sorry, and wishes he'd got bit instead

Just one more thing before I go, I was just wondering Meg?
Do you still stumble all about, on that bloody silly leg?

                                              Love Always
                                                  Mum xxx
