After the rain

The rain comes
shifting away mistakes,
life’s left crisp, clean,
and fragrant.

Air is still and heavy
with lingering smells of,
the blackest wet black,
and whitest wet white.

Yesterday’s worries evaporate
as steam rising from the earth.
Cloud piercing sunlight
creating deep dizzy warmth.

Life cycles restart, the
pasts drowning pollutants
are absorbed,
allowing a breath
of
opportunity.

After the rain
damp moss drinks,
animals repair
And people think.

After the rain comes
there is;
new growth,
life,
choices,
and new chances.
