Sunset

As the sun starts to set
before darkness takes its hold
there is that one special moment.
Hues of bluish-purple and orange appear
Lighting the clouds and the sky behind them.
The colors slowly start to fade;
purple, deep violet, black.
Stars begin to light.
Hoots of owls and the chirping of crickets;
Night.
