There are so many things a mother does that are far beyond what she needs to do. |
She tries so hard to keep the peace. And gives us strength when we are weak. She leads us well and does her part. Helping us get off to the right start. Her words are always friendly and kind. How she does it, boggles the mind. With her praises, we always repeat, The same old thing we did last week. She carries more than her fair share. Still, an ounce less, she does not dare. Scared for us, she worries so much. That we might fall and not get up. The pain of others she does bear. Of us all, she's the one to care. Always offers to lend an ear. And many times, she sheds the tears. Her endless love will make her great. The work she does, we cannot rate. Her final thoughts are always the same. How can she give relief? Not gain! When she is sick and not so well, It's not in bed that she does dwell. She cannot dare to skip her part. In fear for us that it will be hard. She doesn't think of her own self. Instead prefers to give the help. When we are frustrated with demand, She always offers the extra hand. She doesn't know the strength of her touch. How her influence makes us want so much. To give her more of what we can, Our love, our prayers, our whole life span. We feel relief with her presence near. She is the leader we hold so dear. When all is said, the one thing we swear, She makes our life easier to bear. |
