Two are shorter works, the last was intended to be lyrics for a song I scrapped.
For a lover-

Are you just my silhouette
A high noon shadow on cement
That follows me
Where angels fear to tread

Or are you someone that I know
Who sits beside me at a show
And holds my hand as lights turn low
We focus on the stage

During the soliloquy
I realize you're whispering
So long as I keep listening
You'll be the peace that
Nothing else can bring

-------------------------------------------------------------

Alone again-

I Feel like shit today
Want to wash my hands
And maybe get away
Hide in a corner
Or find someplace to stay

Far out of sight
And out of my mind
Feel forgotten about
Feel left behind
I feel like shit today

-------------------------------------------------------------

Before I Start-

Having trouble with the here and now
Having trouble not drifting off
Having trouble holding on to you
Knowing everything is lost
Before I start

Far off in the distance
In bleeding watercolor
My piece of the pie
A picture perfectly shallow
My wax wings melt
When I'm dreaming too high

Finding fault where there is none
Find myself forcing the square peg
Where can I find a map to my dream world
So I can find my way back again

Before I start
In the middle of a conversation
Putting words in your head
Before I find
I've got a mutiny of one up ahead
But you were never there in the first place
Before I waste
Another minute loving a fantasy
Something so damn intangible
I need to stop myself again and again
Before I start

Having trouble with the here and now
Having trouble not drifting off
Having trouble holding on to you
Knowing everything is lost

Far off on the horizon
A flag flying half mast
Reminds me of you
A picture perfectly stupid
Romantic
After all, it's all in my head
