Just the way I felt when I had a asthma attack
I can't breathe
I feel as if life is being pulled away from me
I feel like I got stabbed in the chest
The pressure
The sting
The pain
I slowly start to get week
I start to feel dumb
I have no balance its getting hard to see
I hear low voices telling me to hold on
but I don’t think I can
I’m left breathless
I feel like I’m drowning and
I’m so tired of trying to swim to the top
My body feels light I cant feel anything
I can’t even move my fingers
Darkness is all I see now
I cant feel pain anymore
The only thing that holds me together is my will alone
I don’t hear those distant voices now
I feel lost I’m lost in this empty dark room
It’s so cold

I start to feel a pull
My senses are back
I can breathe again
As I take deep breaths
I open my eyes
I see doctors and
people who for a minute or two I can't recognize
Every one is smiling happy to see I’m ok
Still confused and shaken
I slowly open my mouth
Words start to come out
DAMN! That was close
