Simirillion, and The Lord of the Rings
You wrote, as if by passion you were struck,
Or perhaps carried off by obsession's wings
One idea passed, then another til it stuck:
They fused together in a creative flock,

But refusing to settle in contentment,
Tolkien, in your brave determination,
Dared the safe of innovation to unlock
And your valient prose, a worthy presentment,
Will sing forever in historic vibration
