this poem praises Oprah's good deeds and weight journey |
In the early years things were rough, So you battled on becoming tough, Now in life you have all the finest things, You have sat with stars, presidents and kings, I, along with the entire nation Watched your amazing transformation, And I shared your pain As your weight went up, down and up again Yet you just kept on inspiring Even when others were conspiring, You were forever trying To make the human race Live in a much better place, Oprah's angel network roamed the land Giving the needy a helping hand. Your Book Club give aspiring authors a start And God knows you've done your part. I have felt the cares That plagued your earlier years. About you and Gayle there's been a vicious rumor, But because you have such a sense of humor, Like yesterday's garbage you just throw it out, Cause it's nothing more than dirt. I have shared your joys, As you generously gave out gifts and toys To many little girls and boys, To the needy, Sometimes to the greedy. I have seen the pride in your eyes As you talked about those that touched your life... Steadman, Solomon, Gayle too! You seemed destined from birth To be our angel here on earth! |
