Upon Entering the Summer Woods

                   "Upon Entering the Summer Woods"



                                       Tall
                             timber tales are told
                   in a painting with shimmering summer hues
         of watercolor swatches; yellow-greens and dark indigo.
A story beyond the portal of this magick forest,
past a waving leaf-canopied covered porch,
         portrays the home of my neighboring creatures.
Through the most mysterious and yet inviting wooded entrance,
                   can be found seasonal festivals;
                             featuring
                             fancy faeries,
                             nodding nymphs,
                             singing sprites,
                             bowing brownies,
                             elusive elves,
                             and other playful
                             miniature beings.
One can hear the tunes of merriment at the dawn
                                                           and dusk of all times.
