Dawning of a new day

This is the dawning of a new day
where shadows can come out to play
we rehearse throughout life, but stay away
from the shadows that we hide away.

I'll share with you
but you must play
to seek the shadows that hide away.

I'll look for yours
but you must stray
from locking the box
that keeps me away,
from revealing the gray that can swallow the sun-
unlock it all and we are done.

When our task is complete
we'll capture the sun
our task complete
and survival is won.

We'll live, we'll shine
living sublime.

When we have played,
and voided the shadows
that kept us at bay,
we'll live, we'll laugh
we'll breath and unmask
our task to step in the sun is ours
dear one.
