When you walk into sight,
In these days of gloom.
A patch of sun follows,
In your smile the most comfort.

Life is pure hell,
Until I see your eyes.
So blue as the deep afternoon sky,
Cloudless and sparkling to perfection.

Your hair shines,
With waves of a sea.
Rich brown in sweet curls,
Shimmers as broken glass on pavement.

I long to be the reason you smile,
To be the reason your eyes sparkle.
