Winter

Outside my window
Is a cold winter world,
Where autumn leaves
Have fallen and curled.

Frost covers the street,
The cars and hedgerows,
Sparkling brightly,
As the sun glows.

Waiting for people
To step outside,
With careful steps
To save their pride.

Robin redbreast
Sits in a tree,
Watching children
Giggle with glee.
