Floating Along:Ode To A Balloon

Arising in the morning

Before the rooster crows,

A giant silken cloud

Unfurls its' rainbow nose.

Its' head is round and billowy.

Its' throut is long and sleek.

Around its' middle the colors do twine;

Not knowing where to peak.

It rises like a feather,

Floating on the wind.

It moves in any direction

Not knowing where its' been.

Filling the sky with color,

A majestic sight to behold;

The balloon in flight is silent

As it slowly moves its' fold.

Desending wherever the air may go,

It teathers a long time dream;

To follow the wind and rise with the sun

And settle near the sea of green.

Many colors and many shapes

Make up the majestic beast.

A fabulous sight is a balloon in flight

And that is to say the least.
