We are all the same!

Its been a while since I’ve griped a mic
Heard the boom of my voice
Or felt at ease with my choice

To others it’s a platform
A place for scrutiny
To me?
It’s a chance for unity

So I
Stare to the doors of my
Inner soul
Open my heart to all

Allow nothing but honesty
And find my! Place in history

No more stillness
No more fear
We all shine tonight
We are here

To the artist
To the painter
To the writer
To the preacher…

Here on this stage
We are one
Ideas, dreams, visions
Are welcome

Tonight WE soar
And do more than explore
Our inside thoughts
What we’ve learned
What were taught

We become brave

Together!
We Grip the mic
