We try to understand, comprehend, value, recognize, and identify with the idea of love.
Young Love:
The luxury of being naïve, happily immature.
         Where the world stands still.
A frozen moment where they can’t see any other…
…can’t see anything but each other’s eyes.
Innocent’s holding innocent hands.
A warming comfort that there are no worries, no attachments, no “love.”

First Love:
A fixation that turns into a spark, forever lit.
Captivates the body, soul, and mind.
Releases a permanent feeling of being on cloud nine.
A footprint on your virgin heart,
The realization that they got you….first.
…and you will never ever be the same.

Secret Love:
A one sided conversation.
A desired wish waiting to be screamed…
…but kept forever silent, where “the other” will never truly know.
A doomed diary of endless pages of confession… to yourself,
…that will never see the light of day,
But continues to be there, a replacement, since “the other” won’t.

Vulnerable Love:
A yearning complication.
         with partner…
                   yet somehow you stand alone.
To reveal an open wound of the heart.
To cure its aching silence by finally releasing…
releasing its confessions of secrets long been put off.

Hesitant Love:
A risk that’s never for sure,
where being “safe” is never the cure
…Could be a brutal murder of a new feeling,
a disaster you would never see coming.
…Could be the final push over the hill,
where there lies paradise that you both seek.

Spellbound Love:
A succulent trap.
sucks you into a four-walled chamber,
around not only your heart but you… your entity, your being.
Not being aloud to breathe one moment
if that moment were not for them.
An eternal jail cell that gives you just enough hope for the idea of escape.

Lost Love:
The ultimate hurting heart’s woe,
where tears rain on the heart, where pain electrifies,
where the silence of abrupt absence shatters the soul.
Time will pass by…
…but that leftover feeling inside remains and lingers.
A feeling that left you cold, naked, open, and out of control of it all.

Cynic’s Love:
The futile thought for fools….
                   “Useless to pursue.”
Leads you to a long road of unnecessary fights and lies,
that leads you nowhere but back to square one.
Yet still giving into the idea, pursuing it with nothing but negativity
Only to doom you more each time, leaving you alone.

Fated Love:
A hopeless merry-go-round.
Living it! Losing it! Loving it!
A tug of war upon the threshold of love and pain.
                   of sanity and the insane.
A never ending battle…
…that will always have you coming back again.
