This was written in November of 1995. I was 17 years old.
                                        Nightmare


                          In the still night
                          I saw you there.
                          You stood tall and lean
                          Without a care.
                          I waved to you
                          But you didn't see.
                          It seemed I was invisible
                          Or you just didn't want me.
                          My heart started to break
                          Into two separate parts.
                          I suddenly felt like
                          I had two separate hearts;
                          One that would hate
                          And one that would cry.
                          I despised you for rejecting me
                          But my eyes would not be dry.
                          When suddenly things fell
                          And I could not hide,
                          I awoke from my nightmare
                          And found you by my side.
