Short poem about the loss of love. Poetry style-Double Etheree.
Your
black hair
in the wind,
like a bird's wing
flapping in the sky,
reminds me of the days
along the coast of the beach.
As we sat there watching the waves,
you would tilt your head and smile at me
Strands would whisk along the curves of your face,
your eyes would twinkle; your nose would crinkle.
I would run my fingers through your hair
and remember why I loved you.
It was like the high school halls,
we would make out all day.
But, time was cut short,
we never knew
that this was
our last
page.
