Race: Archangel (Dark Angel)

Fallicies: The biggest fabrication is that all Dark Angels are evil and ally themselves with Satan. This is blatantly untrue- while some of them did rebel against God and lose their wings as they Fell (these Evil Dark Angels never grew their wings back), God created His own Dark Angels to counteract their power. These Angels sacrificed their wings and their Light to serve God on Earth (Leaving Heaven to live on earth made necessary the loss of Divine Light and the acceptance of God's Darkness) as a balance to Satan's Dark Angels. They are able to walk into Churches and can touch Holy Water, etc. Any ideas that people have of Demons (Satan's Dark Angels) are untrue in the manner of Heavenly Dark Angels. Demons don't have horns, tails, or pitchforks- they are as beautiful and sensual as any Angel should be, and are often as inclined to help humanity as hurt it.

Dark Angels are, above all, loyal to their Master, whether God or Satan. Depending on their position, there are other chains of command that Earth-bound Dark Angels must follow.

If Satanic, Dark Angels are either Soldiers, Tempters or Torturers. Soldiers follow the various Dukes of Hell (Beelzebub, etc);Torturers follow Azrafel, Satan's second in command; Tempters
follow Sammael, one of the three leaders of the Angelic revolution.

If Heavenly, Dark Angels are Soldiers/Demon Assassins or Earthly Guardians (protecting humans from Demonic influence). Soldiers and Assassins answer to Michael; Guardians turn to Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael depending on the class (Messenger, Healer, or Watcher). On both sides, rank is determined much like an Army- rank depends on strength, capability, and experience.

Appearance: Raelin looks to be mid twenties, slim build, brilliant multifaceted blue eyes that have a glow of their own. Dark black-brown hair, medium length. Tone, but not muscular, light complexion. Wears a tight fitting, casual button-down black dress shirt, the first three unbuttoned, gray cargo wide leg pants, black hardened boots, and a long tight fitting black trench coat when not fighting. He wears a simple silver cross around his neck, on a black rope necklace. No facial hair. Dark look, though not Gothic.

Weapon: Raelin Carries no weapon, for he mastered the art of combat before humans invented such things as swords and guns. A master of unarmed combat, Rae has since learned to effectively use modern and respectably ancient weapons, though he specializes in none.

Class: Heavenly (as opposed to Demonic)

Abilities: Control of and over darkness and the shadows, flight, heightened senses above most any other creatures, the ability to speak into the mind and hear the thoughts of mortals, and the ability to step into and out of the mortal plane at will. His wounds can be healed in the Divine Plane, and strength renewed. Personal skills fluctuate depending on the Angel's position in their home plane.

Weaknesses: All of a Dark Angel's (or a Light Angel‘s, for that matter) power stems from the Other Realms. If they are not able to return to these Realms at least once every couple of weeks (though the strongest and oldest may go up to a month), they will become weaker and weaker until they must give up hold on their mortal body. A Dark Angel can be killed with blood loss, decapitation, etc. Also, a Dark Angel of Hellish affiliations must beware of the presence of a Light Angel, which will burn away their essence

Personality: Having served the Father under Michael, Raelin is both uniquely noble, and unabashedly dark. He prefers dark things, gothic looks, dangerous neighborhoods and nightclubs. This is so he can be of his most influence to mortals. He is boisterous and sarcastic, often cracking jokes in serious situations. Fun-loving and a people person, Raelin sees humor in every situation, but can be the most level-headed and serious person at the same time

History: Raelin has been a part of every major conflict in Heaven and on Earth since Satan's Angelic revolution. From the fall of man to sin, to the Son's birth, death and resurrection, to the Dark ages when Lucifer had his most Influence over Christianity. Since the revolution, Rae has vowed to serve in God's army any way he can.
