Vampires, Magic, Love, and some unusual behavior. |
The wind was mild as I stood smoking a menthol cigarette and contemplating the world around me. From the darkness of the night I watched as cars drove past the small stretch of road visible from my backyard. Everything around me seemed normal, but for some reason i couldn't shake the feeling that was crawling into my chest. It was more than fear, almost like the feeling of once fearing the dark and now knowing that I should really be afraid of whats in it. The feeling, whatever it may represent, had lodged itself into my gut and refused to leave. I scanned the small group of trees that had clustered near the end of my backyard. The wind made the trees quiver in ways that would make the calmest of people anxious and I felt my pulse raise. "Calm down, Naida. You know nothing would dare hurt you while I'm here." came the sweet voice. A smile appeared on my face. "Must you always sneak up behind me. One of these days you're going to run into one of my attacks." "Naida, your silly incantations couldn't harm me even if they were charged by the gods!" Was the whispered reply in my ear. Soft hands ran up my back and wrapped around my chest as the lips that had created the voice pressed gingerly against my neck. The lips snaked a trail down my neck and over my shoulder. A rush of euphoria ran through my body as the lips parted and I felt the sharp fangs brush my flesh. "Do you want me to bite you?" The voice said. With glazed eyes I nodded my head. "Yes Attika, I want you to bite me." I heard her laugh as she pierced my skin. A sensation ten-thousand times better than sex and every drug I've ever taken flowed from her mouth and into my vains. I could feel her draining away my life, but i trusted her not to take it all. My vision blackened and i fell unconscious into her arms. |
