The Pains of Life

As I walk the lonely road through life,
I realize that there is too much strife.
I wish to see it end.
The balance, it depends
on what we humans do to our gift.
Our spirits, we must lift
and stop the pains of life,
to let the beauty of the world shine through
and whatever you may do,
never forget that life is too precious to forsake.
Do not let the darkness bind you against your will.
Let your spirit shine through like the radiant sun,
and pray always for the safety and security of others.
Let all your days be joyous and safe,
and may the god or gods that do or do not exist
bless you forever.
