"I still cant believe that is you Katie," Travis said for the 20th time now as he pulled in to are school's driveway. I was most likely bounding out of my seat by now as soon as I saw Light standing by the school with his proud head held high. His mane and tail dancing with the wind as he watched our car come up, knowing, just knowing I was in it.

"Stop the car" I said hitting travis in the arm hard "I want to get out here, stop the car" With a sigh he slowed down the car to a stop and I immeadtly jumped out and spread my arms out wide as Light came pelting down the road towards me. "Lets do this Light" I yelled to him as he pelted right in to me. I wrapped my fingers into his mane and let my legs fly out from under me. "Steady pace boy" I murrmmered as I put my left leg on his back and flipped my self up on his amazing back. He slowed to a stop and I rubbed everywhere I could reach, From the tips of his ears, to his amazing tail. He breathed in a sigh as i placed my head in his mane and inhaled is amazing scent. This was what I lived for and always would live for, horses an dall their beauty. Tears formed in my eyes as i thought of how much i missed him. Light was my everything,

"Well, well, well, If it isnt ms. Katie Fredrich, you look different" A voice said from behind me and my horse. I threw my right leg over and then my left to see who it was. I immeadtly felt my cheeks redden. It was Tyler Cook



"Hi Tyler, how did you recgonize me"I asked curiously. Who is Tyler Cook you ask? Only the hottest and sweetest guy ever to walk the planet. Also captain of the Soccer team. And my major crush for like EVER! well okay, only scince grade 5 but still thats a long time.

"Well your the only one who can ride that amazing horse, and the only person wh cn sit backwards on a horse comfterably enough." He grinned as he pat Lights side, Light just twitched and went back to eating.

"Thank you for all those nice compliments, but yeah, Emily dyed my hair, does it look okay?" I asked as I pulled at it a bit.

"It suits you" He grinned and I blushed harder.

"well if it isnt The monster and the monster's sidekick" A voice drawled from behind Tyler. No not her, not when he was going to say how beautiful I was. Why does she always ruin my life. "And here I was so hoping that you would stay in England so we could get rid of the ugly thing that takes up that stall which could be much better use for one of my horses"

"There is lots of other stalls Lauren" I said bitterly. Lauren and I were best friends in grade 5 until our riding instructor Vicki told her that she sould ride her horse more often because its getting lazy, and I offered to ride him sometimes for her if she didnt have time, in which she got mad at me and hated me ever scince. Which reminded me of The saddle club, You know that Veronica girl who was always so rude to the three girls in the saddle club.

Shes Veronica, and im those three girls.

"yeah but that thing" She grumbled looking at Light "Has the best one"

"Only because Light and I keep winning, you know the rules, anyone who gets first place gets the best Stall for a month. Its been like that scince grade one" I stated flatly. She just glared at me then latched on to Tyler.

"Hi Tyler" She said prettily as she looked up at him through her lashes. She disgusts me andI hate her. She is the most popular girl in school and all the guys like her, except for Matt and Travis. But thats only becuase Emily and I drilled it in to their heads that she is bad news. It pisses me off that she goes for any guy that is currently talking to me. She finally gave up on Travis when Emily punched her in the face and told her to screw off. But that is just a Emily thing. But it was funny, made me laugh at least.

"Hi Lauren" Tyler muttered as he pulled his arm out from her grasp. "Ill see you later Katie" Tyler said with a wave of his hand



"Bye Tyler" I smiled as I slid off Lights broad back and landed softly on the ground. "Come on Light lets go and put you in your stall okay?" I asked as we walked off towards the Log barn. The barn that the champion horses get to stay in. It was so big and beautiful, Light had a giant stall which he enjoyed so much. and There was even a bunk up on the top for me just in case if he got sick or hurt I could stay with him. But I usually stayed with him anyways, i didnt care. With one big yawn I patted his neck and closed and locked the stall door. "Be good, Ill come visit you in the morning" I whispered to him before I turned on my heel and walked out towards the door to get into my room. I walked past the living room to see Emily and Travis making out."Get a room you two. But not ours Emily because Im tired" They pulled away and glared at me

"Well we cant go in to Travis' room ethier. Matt kicked us out" Emily whined

"Did he now," I said thoughtfully. "Smart man" And with that I walked into my room and plopped on my bed falling into a peaceful slumber even before I could get into my covers.
