I wrote this for a character who is a bard on my favorite, LOTR roleplay site.
A ship with six sailors sailed the bay
The great Bay of Belfalas
Rumors spread of great sirens
With voices of a goddess

The six sailors ignored the words
And passed them off as tales
The sailors still sailed the deep blue bay
‘Til one of them climbed the sails

Far to the north he saw a rock
On it sat three women
Hair of gold and voices bold
Entrapping the hearts of the men

Had their minds been completely clear
They would have turned around
They were heading towards sharp rocks
And to their deaths they were bound

The ship splintered against the rocks
The mere oak had no chance
Yet the sailors followed the song
Closer still they advance

The ship took water and their minds woke
They soon realized their peril
An hour or so later, all that remained
Was a single floating barrel
