this item describes my story, where i was born etc |
Curse,, Part one i was cursed from birth, born in Zaire. Once was the richest country in Africa, but the dictatorship of president Mobutu destroyed the country. (my mom once told me how the president would rather fly his childrens to Europe to watch the latest movie while people suffer in Zaire). My mom worked in the market, didn't know what my pops did as i was too young to know or care. Only 5 years of age i felt the hunger of Africa, i learned to survive on my own until my parents will get back. Growing up fast and being around older boys made me wise as i quickly wished i was in Europe as many times i have heard the elders talk about leaving, how wonderful Europe was, and how money falls from sky. Me being so young i believed them. I lived in this little town called Kinsagani, we had no electricity, and did most of the cooking in coil, radios and television were played using car battery. The elders once spoke about the government supplying electricity through our town, exciting as we was it never did happen. I dreamed of one day having electricity at home, wondering how it would feel like, this became a constant dream. Night times was fantastic, we relied on the moon as it shined at night it almost felt like day time. As the kids took advantage of this and played hide and seek, to the point were our parents will stop us. Zaire is known as a waferfall country and very hot, so hot that when it rains within a hour everything is dried, me and my friends walked bared foot, hot as it was i recall on running for the shades under treets since the sand was impossible to walk on. Our past times involved fishing at the river, which we did everyweek. We did this without fishing nets, only with sticks and we hadly caught any fish as far as i remember. The river so dark and frieghtening, also very dangerous as many times i saw people bleed from broken glasses. We would walk deep into the forest, mostly following the olders boys as they did fun games. With us we had my neighbors dog, i guess we felt safer having him around he had a reputation of being a strong fighting dog. Zaire does not have many different breeds of dogs, most common dogs we had were mongrels. Theres not vets, which means dogs were not vaccinated. This was our worst fear as stray dogs were known to do harms if beated by one. I had an advantage over my friends, my mom had six sisters and three of them lived in Europe, they were considering adopting me. I was seven when i was told Story continues,,, |
