Broken nest

I woke up and looked over the lake this morning
And I saw something that reminded me of you
Yeah I saw seven swans flying away from me
Each one was slightly slower than the last to flee

I don't know where your headed tonight without me
And I don't how much of you is left in my heart
But you know you flew away too and left me here
Sat alone wishing you weren't so insincere

We left our eggs in a broken nest

It's not just swans that fly, but so to does your prince

Maybe the damage is too much and too much has been said
Maybe our solid friendship is now dead not to come back
Maybe I oversaw every single crack I don't know
Maybe this is just the way that fate wanted us to go
