I felt witty while writing this one. Inspired by a song I had heard.
Who is the beast?
The physical? The mental?
Worth asking at least!
It can become critical

Sensing their prey
In death they stay
To dwell in shadow
Feeding on the blood flow

On the hunt mode
Terror on heavy load
Restlessly they rode
On the roads

The fearless beast
Inner toward the outer
Understanding only later
When time for the feast

Victim and predator
A fine line, sometimes
Power play for visitor
The pit of the minds

Deceiving fragile frames
Instinct is not blind
It’s know where to find
One of the prey’s kind

The look to deceive
Becoming fallen leaves
Too late to be saved
Protected by a concrete cave

Urge to kill
To have it’s fill
To attack it’s prey
To let havoc stay

Hard to say
Evil never at bay
Mixed inside us
May feel a loss

It’s hard to tell
Why the story
Of we to fell
It’s not happy

No paradise lost
The truth is frost
It is with us
To change at a cost
