Political Satire. An American memorie always. |
Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house; Not a creature was stirring, not even the computer mouse. Mamma with her night cap and me sipping a martini. Had just settled down to watch the election results on T.V. When all of a sudden there arose such a clamor! What’s this? Several voting officials almost thrown in the slammer. When what to my wondering eyes did appear; But nineteen thousand old ladies demanding to vote again this year. The press whistled and shouted, "Let the battle begin!" A wild west show down that no one can win. Back to the microphones the president elects they did fly. Each saying to the other, "I would have won if it wasn't for your lie!" On Nixon, on Kennedy, on Bush and on Gore. Someone be president, we don’t much care anymore! The Inaugural Ball plans surly aren’t firm. Will the host be the incumbent donkey or a new pachyderm? Will it ever be over, only time will show. But to be sure somewhere in hell there is plenty of snow! Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight. Better luck in four years, and may the Florida votes be counted right! Please give me a rating on this! Thanks |
