twist of fate
Life has a habit of drying out a cocoon,
splitting it open
and a the moment of real need...
want...
hope...
thrusting a wind upon its contents.
Instead of blooming with rhythm and peace
it finds itself in
a dervish
of thrashing branches
beating it
until it lays alone
and lonely
on the winters edge
wondering where the summer went.
