Past , Present and Future

There are times when I reflect on my life and when I do I see
My past , my present , how I hope my future to be

The past is full of heartache , It still haunts me today
So many tears and darkness , nothing left to say


My present is me living my life the best way I know how
I am happy and content so far , right now

My future looks happy , I see you holding my hand
Walking on the creek bank , bare footed in the sand

I love the life we are building , the love that we share
So unlike anything I have ever known , nothing can compare

Every minute you are with me , I carry you in my heart
Complete when we are together , empty when we are apart
