A poem I wrote
I have written many words about you, and these are the last.

It's time to focus on the future now, and let go of my past.

I've been bitter, I've been sad. I have played the tragic fool.

You were all I thought I had, and for that I will always love you.

There is nothing to forgive, for you have shown me how to live.

Eventhough you ripped my heart to death, you were never second best.

Closure is a myth it seems, some wounds were never meant to heal.

Just know that I am grateful for the way you let me feel.

I will not call or contact you.

I will haunt your steps no more.

You were never second best.

Live your life and live it long.

I mean that sincerely, from the bottom of where my heart use to be.

I loved you more than you deserved, I mean that sincerely, from the bottom of where my heart use to be.
