A sad story about a girl and her lost love.
I sit in this cold dark room awaiting your return. Without you its hard sometimes to even remember to breath. Your last kiss left me breathless and I have been that way ever since. I still remember when you left. We were standing on the front porch of your old Victorian house. It was so pretty that night. I remember that the sky was that perfect balance of white stars and purple clouds that shows just enough of the full moon to make it astounding. The trees were swaying as the wind blew my hair. It was perfect...

Only now can I truly appreciate what a hansom man you really were. I always was jealous of your seemingly flawless curls. They hung so gently around your strong structured face. It was a nice balance. You weren’t all that dressed up. If memory serves me right, you had on my size one Tilt jeans. You always loved them. They looked so much better on you any day then they did on my best. You were wearing that The Cure that I bought you last month on your birthday. You looked so good.

You were only supposed to be gone for a month or two. It was just a charity trip. You leaned in close and said goodbye as you held me in your arms...For the last time. Our lips gently touch, not to had though. Just enough to leave me wanting so much more. I really do wish that you have just pushed out bodies close and gave me one last deep passionate kiss. But you didn’t and you never will again. You went to walk away and I held on tight, never wanting to let go. “Let go of me,” you said, “ I know you don’t want me to leave, but it won’t be for long. I’ll come back next month and we’ll get married. It will be just like we planned. Perfect.”

“I love you.”

And with that, you left. I knew I should have never let you go. It didn’t seem right. There was a feeling burrowing deep down inside my heart screaming at me to never let you leave my sight. But I ignored it like I always did. Thinking it was nothing more than a worry. That is one mistake that I will never make again. So I let you walk away with nothing more than a “Goodbye.”

“I love you! Haha, don’t forget me while I’m gone! I’ll call you when I get there!” you yelled as you ran down our lily sprinkled walkway. I never got that call from you. I did get all call though.

I got a call from the leader of the charity telling me the one thing I hated most to hear. You were dead. Your death caused by a shot to the head. The bullet wasn’t meant for you though. You tried to do the right think in the bank that day. If only they had sent someone else to go get some more gas money. The bullet was heading straight for one of the girls on your team. It was meant for her head, not yours. You tried to move her and yourself out from the path of the bullet, but only her body was forced out of the way. You both fall to the floor. Your now dead body laying on hers. Screams were heard all around. No scream was as loud as mine though. And none will ever be. But even louder than that, was the scream let out of my aching heart. And now I come to join you. We will be together...forever. Perfect.
