This Girl

There once was this girl
She was never good in relationships
Always had something wrong with it
She watched her friends as they were happy
Dreamed of that time when she would be too
Her heart ached as she heard them laugh
Trying to join in
She never really could understand
This girl took things to a new level
Her heart got heavy
She found a guy and made everything feel much lighter
Talking hours on end until the break of dawn
She feels like she found a dream come true
Her heart does not aching for love
Now that she found love in him
But now she aches because she misses him
Thinking about him she goes crazy
She counts down the hours until she can reach him
Daydreams of the future and what might happen
She smiles when she hears a speical ring
Wishing at night
She's confused on what to do
Should she let her heart be open for him to hold
Or should she hold on tight and never let go
Wondering if she's doing the right thing
She looks to the stars and knows that someone is watching over her
Asking them questions of wisdom and strength and love
Hoping they will reply to her in her dreams
As she wakes up
She sees that painted sky
And begins her day thinking about him
Her mind is now lighter
Her heart more open to him
She gives him the key to open her up whole

This girl use to be in for so much more
Now she's found the one she's been searching for
Her heart in his hands
She closes her eyes and sees him as she dreams.
