The Ship

Our lives are like a ship
On the angry sea
Tossed on the waves of troubles
As our blood boils and bubbles
Caught up in our own troubles
Sometimes we simply fail to see
The other ships tossing on the sea
There are so very many others
That the waves rock and cover
Yet we can’t take a minute
Because we say we don’t want in it
But when our ship goes down
We expect them to be around
And carry us safely to the shore
When we had been so hasty
But if we all pull together
Things will be a lot better
We still may be tossed
But all will not be lost
So take a little time
To touch a neighboring ship
That’s sinking in the sea
For some day you may say
That sinking ship saved me
