Walking down the cold, wet streets
Red and green lights glisten off of the pavement
She looked for a cheap place to eat
How could he cause such an ailment

No one is there for her
They've all left
Abandoned her

The house is only a short walk away
Just maybe if she could catch the train

But they've succeeded in pushing her away
Abuse has torn her, almost afray

Now she has no place to go
She wished she hadn't grown so old
She drinks away her pain
Those around her are her only gain

She has only one chance to escape from this
But if it's here to stay, her soul lies lost, in the dark abyss.
