in progress - still working on this |
I peer up at the sky, Searching for your goodbye. I know that it is there, Can't find it anywhere. I look toward the west, Heart pounding in my chest. It's not above the trees, Don't feel it in the breeze. I turn toward the south, Bile rising in my mouth. What’s with those clouds today? They’re getting in my way. Toward the north perhaps, My looking will not lapse. Could someone move that bird, Whose song’s so loudly heard? I guess I should look east, That’s where I see the least. Those kites so high and bright, They’re blocking all my sight. I search the sky above, For your unbridled love. Is that an angel there? Nope, just a sunny glare. Does no one understand? I’m searching cross the land. I need to see my sign, That you are doing fine. How can I know for sure? My vision’s so obscure. I sit here all day through, Searching for signs from you. I see the rain cloud roll, It soon will drop its toll. I sit here in the rain, Hoping to wash my pain. That rainbow did appear, I see it through my tear. The sun it starts to set, I am no longer wet. The pink and purple sky, But where is your goodbye? As happy life goes on, I’ll sit here till the dawn. Too many stars tonight, I sit in full moonlight. How am I ‘posed to see, The sign you’re sending me? Just one sign’s all I need, Grant me this simple deed. The sun is rising high, I’m still looking to the sky. The darkness lifts away, To start a brand new day. Maybe today will prove, Please hurry, sunrise, move. So I can see the sign, That you are doing fine. I love you sissy - today and everyday!! |
