Love somtimes isn't so sweet. (I'm going to do my own version too.)
Lillian hooked the metal disk onto an area of glass. Ssss. Was the sound it made when it slid and sliced. Lillian un-hooked the metal from circular piece of glass and set it upon the floor. Stepped out. And glided through the air. She quickly tried to land. Perfect. She landed on a New York sidewalk. That was where she always was. She took off the glider part of her out fit and put it in a near by trashcan. Now her out fit was a black leather mini-dress with pointy-toed stiletto heels. She walked over to a sidewalk where a white cab was waiting for her.
“1213 Main Street” Was all she said.
“Is that…” the taxi driver started to say, but Lillian so rudely interrupted.
“Do I need to drive or will you?” She snapped at him.
“Just trying to make conversation.” He said, annoyed at her remark. She just kept silent. They had finally got there 20 minutes later, but what seemed an hour to both Lillian and the cab driver. She paid him and got out. The house looked like a small yellow cottage. Her cell phone vibrated.
“Talk” She urged when she answered her cell phone.
“Did you find him?” Her boss asked with a confident voice that hoped she had.
“ Yes.” She answered.
“Great. Right on the killing hour, as they say. Right on time.” He said.
“I didn’t say I killed him yet.” Lillian pointed out.
“Indeed. I just thought. You are one of my best.” He began to get a little worried. Lillian had never failed, not even one of her missions.
“ I finished him off.” She reassured him.
“ Brilliant. I knew you wouldn’t let me down. I almost fell for that one.” He told her. She gave out of sort of phony laugh. It was like it was funny, but not funny enough to really laugh.
“ I will give you your mission update soon. Probably tomorrow morning.” Lillian’s boss said.
“ All right. Bye” She said and hung up. Lillian stepped up the stairs to the doorway to her house. She pressed in the security code into the alarm system and opened the door. She presses in the security code when she got in that locked all the door and window in the house. Lillian slipped off her heels to fell her feet ache. She pushed the talk button on her answering machine and went to the bathroom.
“Hey lily. Meet me at the coffee bar. Now would be wonderful.” A voice on the answering machine said. She slipped out of her clothes and put on a crème colored long robe and a pair of crème colored cotton flip-flops. Then went over to the phone, deleted the message and headed towards the kitchen.
Lillian Twisted 3 knobs on her white stove, opened the cupboard and turned a salt and pepper shaker a certain way. Out popped a metal box on the stove. She opened the box and pressed her palm and fingers against it. The metal box was a hand scanner to open a secret door to a secret place. Lily closed the box and it went back into the stove. Everything looked normal again. She went over to the fridge and opens the freezer door. Now her freezer looked like a very long iced frozen hallway. She stepped in. Lillian shivered. I should have worn something much warmer she thought to herself, realizing that she had only worn a robe and flip-flops. When she got to the end of the long narrow hallway she typed a code in, and put her eye up to an eye scanner. Just then the flat ice wall slid open to a room filled with tons of switches, buttons, and knobs.
