revisited

it was known to me since day one
things never gonna last
you were just there at the place
when things were set to fit.
it was never an easy ride
we were down to the pits
but we've pulled it through
and made it to the light.

we've come a long way,
even thought it would last
but the truth came back to my face
it was never well founded.
it was one sided deliverance
a high price for the blunder.

thought walking away is just taking the step
of putting the past behind
it shouldn't break my heart
am made up of all hard stuff.
the path was completed as has been planned
the premise justified the consequences.
for all the shields of indifference
tears keep me company in silence.
