This is a poem about a girl's betrayal and final moments before death.
Weary and beaten, she sits on the floor,
Of the castle that's dark and has closed its door.
She got lost in the battle for her life,
He used everything against her, including strife.
Only a drop swimming against a current of water,
He had even treated her like a daughter.
Now he's betray her and she will die,
A hole in her chest; now she heaves a sigh.
"How could I have trusted him for one second?
I knew what he meant when he beckoned.
Why did I falter, why did I try?
All I can do now is sit here and cry.
I'm dying and I know it, yet I can't accept it,
It feels as if my mind is playing a bit of a trick."
How she wished it were true, this mind-bent illusion,
But it wasn't, because she was ready for fusion.
She sat there and breathed, her eyes falling closed,
Her body was in a slightly weird post.
The blood that surrounds her,
It was barely a blur,
Of the life she had lived,
And the things that she did.
Death's grip had finally closed around her soul,
And one tear slipped, and told of her toll.
She wasn't realeased, like others usually are,
So her soul stay there, laying battered and far.
